Hosting Must Haves: Trader Joe’s Edition
If there’s one thing about me, it’s that I make my weekly trip to Trader Joe’s a spiritual experience. I typically go with a shopping list + a recipe in mind, but I consistently get the same staples every single time. In addition, and without a doubt, I will try ALL of their seasonal goodies. I fall for it every Halloween and Christmas. Don’t even get me started on their pumpkin spiced flavor joe joe’s and peppermint bark. Divine intervention.
My 5 go to must haves for hosting are items that I always have on hand, in case of hosting emergencies (you know, like a Wednesday night wine venting sesh with your neighbors after an annoying day at work).
Unexpected cheddar. This is the holy grail of cheeses at TJ’s. Everyone loves it and it’s a must have if you’re putting together a lil’ charcuterie. My body is a temple and I will be filling it with unexpected chedz.
Chianti Red Wine Artisan Salami. This does not need to be refrigerated so you can leave it in the cupboard until you’re ready to slice it up and pair with the cheese. So good.
Raisin + Rosemary Crisps. A box of these little tiny toastie crackers are a. delicious and b. give off fancy vibes. I do declare these to be a top tier cracker, definitely a higher tier than your average ritz.
A bottle of champagne or white wine. I swear they have the prettiest bottles at Trader’s and I don’t believe you if that’s not how you choose which wine to buy. Keep this in the fridge at all times, it always comes in handy.
Fresh flowers. Nancy Meyers, who? Anytime I’m at Trader Joe’s, I pick up an affordable bouquet or two of flowers and arrange them in a cute vase for my dining room table. You never know when you’ll have company AND even if you don’t, your house feels more put together <3.
These pumpkin spice yogurt pretzels were divine. I went back & bought 4 bags, and I’m not even mad about it. A seasonal treat- but should be all year and then they would be a must have hosting item.
