Hosting Must Haves: Marshall’s Edition

I am embarrassed to admit how often I go to Marshall’s. When I’m sad? Marshall’s. When I’m happy? Marshall’s. When I’m bored and have an intense overwhelming need for a seasonally scented candle? Marshall’s.

We all know that Marshall’s is THE spot for home decor, fast fashion, cozy socks, discounted beauty products, etc. Marshall’s can also be THE spot to go for some hosting essentials so that you’re always prepared to be the toasted host of the year.

  1. Cocktail napkins. I typically pick up a pack of cheeky cocktail napkins while I’m there. They always come in handy and add an extra pop of color to your drink station!

  2. Drinkware. Marshall’s always always always has a shelf of chic af glassware. I’ve found martini glasses, coup glasses, about a million whiskey glasses (for what though?), seasonal wine glasses, precious tea cups with a matching kettle. I try to get at least 4 because I’m psychotic and go crazy when all of my guests have different types of glasses. Anyone else? Just me, that’s fine.

  3. Olive Oil + Spices. I would personally like to survive, so I have never bought food from Marshall’s, however, I feel like the bottled Olive Oil and spices are a major slay when it comes to hosting. Add the oil to a little dish with the spices and leave the bottles near your cheese board.

  4. Seasonal candle. This one doesn’t need much explanation. You want your home to smell good when your guests walk in so light that baby up.

  5. Serving tray/bowl. Whether it’s a marble cake stand for your treats or a colorful ceramic bowl to throw chips in, things always look better on a surface rather than in their original bag or container.
