Makin’ whoopie 💋
Quite frankly, if you don’t like whoopie pies, we have nothing in common.
According to local lore, the first whoopie pies were created by Maine farmers' wives who would use leftover cake batter to make small, portable treats for their husbands to take with them to work.
Dare I say, Bob should be the one sending me off with whoopies since he works from home and I don’t?
Another fun fact- Why are whoopie pies called whoopie pies? The story goes that whenever the men would open their lunchboxes and see the delightful treat waiting for them, it would cause them to exclaim with joy, “whoopie!” Ahhh, we love gender roles.
The cute thing about whoopies is that they’re just a hoot! They’re small, they’re tasty and you can literally make them in any flavor. I feel like we don’t talk about them enough. Pumpkin with cream cheese filling, vanilla with funfetti filling, and as always, the traditional chocolate whoopie with vanilla buttercream filling. This recipe has been in my mom’s collection since I was a kid and whenever she makes them, it’s a great day. So here I am to educate and inform you.

Take these to any gathering and they’re bound to be a crowd favorite. It’s such a flex, but also bring these to a brewery. As previously stated, whoopies are a hoot do you agree? These pups at the brewery thought so.
