Caramel Apple Cider Margarita
Nothing says fall like apple picking, am I right? I here do declare that there is nothin’ more basic than putting on your Uggs, throwing on an oversized hat (literally for what other reason than fashion) and hitting the apple orchard with your gals. Truthfully, if being basic is bad, then I don’t want to be right.
*Fun fact* My husband and I had this recipe as one of our “signature wedding drinks” and they were one hundred percent a crowd favorite. We called it the Millie Margarita after our sweet precious dog <3.
Here’s an idea, once you’re done apple picking for the day, take some of those babies and throw together this simple caramel apple margarita. It’s right on par with other heralds of the season, including a month long Gilmore Girls binge and pumpkin spice lattes. (I feel like Lorelai would’ve made these drinks her witch).
Ingredients:
Caramel sauce
Cinnamon sugar + Cinnamon sticks
Flakey salt
Tequila (I used espolon, no brainer)
Limes
Apple Cider
Apples (green or red both work)
Cointreau
Directions:
Rim your glass with caramel, cinnamon sugar and a touch of flakey salt.
In a shaker, add 2 oz. tequila, 1 oz. cointreau, 4-6 oz. apple cider, squeeze of lime. Shake and serve over ice.
Garnish with apple slices, cinnamon stick and a wedged lime.
How ‘bout them apples?
