Wedding Traditions.. what’s in vs. what’s out?

Wedding traditions. let’s talk about ‘em. cake cutting as a spectacle, bouquet tossing, the father giving the daughter away, public vows, wedding party gender roles, etc. we’ve seen them all & you may be feeling a pull from others (not to put grandma on blast) to include certain age old traditions on your special day that just aren’t resonating with you and your partner.

Couples all the time ask their planners questions like, “what side is the x family supposed to sit on?” or “is it cheesy if we read our vows alone?” the answer from me will always be the same - traditions are just the ingredients, you get to choose the recipe. if it doesn’t feel right, we PIVOT and make space for what does feel right on your wedding day!

ps I will always feel passionate and advocate for flower grannies rather than or in addition to flower girlies 🥹🌸
