Ma-mère’s Banana Bread

Does anyone else feel like their bananas last only 2-4 business days once they got home from the grocery store? I feel like they go bad so quick. And when life gives you mushy bananas, you make a damn good banana bread. This recipe comes from Bob’s dad’s side of the family, way back when. I never met his gran but I can tell she knew what she was doin’ because this BB slaps.

Ingredients

1/4 cup melted butter

1 cup sugar

1 egg

1/4 cup chopped nuts (I used walnuts)

3 mashed very ripe bananas (about 1 cup)

1 and 1/2 cup flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 350*

Bake in non-stick loaf pan for 45 minutes, or 12 muffins at 20 minutes
